A rustic house with a history of more than 200 years, which was redesigned at the request of the new owners and adapted to 21st century technology and functional solutions.
The kitchen with a large island allows for hosting guests and live cooking together. In addition, we widened the window openings and let in additional daylight. Demolition of the load-bearing wall was necessary to gain additional space in the living room and the steel cantilever allowed the whole building to maintain its load-bearing capacity. Replacing the ceiling and floor allowed us to insulate the entire building and protect it from moisture for years to come.
